Reigning Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce businessman of the year Clever Pote has been abandoned by his wife of three years amid allegations that he uses juju, Now Daily has learnt.
The woman, a former bank teller at FBC bank who met the businessman on the job against bank principles, claimed to relatives, friends and employees that she feared for her life as Pote allegedly conducted satanic rituals, including human sacrifice, to get ahead in business. Pote was crowned the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce businessman of the year in 2015 at a ceremony graced by vice president Phelekezela Mphoko. He could not be reached for comment.
Pote is reported to be a member of an apostolic sect accused by Harare ‘prophet’ Walter Magaya of being under the control of satanic forces which he dubbed ‘marine spirits’. His ex-wife has now fled to the United Kingdom, after alleging sensationally that her husband kept his late mother’s body parts in a secret room which was never opened at his Eastlea home. Pote’s minders dismissed the claims, labelling his ex-wife ‘insane’.
Pote is reported to be a business front for Zanu PF politician Simbarashe Mumbengegwi and alleged Central Intelligence Organization operative Nathaniel Shoko.
