A shadowy pseudo-military activist group has threatened to assassinate Zimbabwe’s dictator Robert Mugabe.
The group Zimbabweans for Prosperity claimed on its website to have secured missiles to blow up Mugabe’s armour-plated limousine.
“Silently and undetected we have conducted high risk intelligence gathering operations all over the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We know the composite materials used in Mugabe’s car. We know the thickness of its armor plating. For it we acquired 6 arrows that can overturn a Locomotive (musoro we chitima) and leave it a pile of smouldering scrap metal in seconds,” the group said. “We know the type of radar, civilian and military, in their possession, its range, effectiveness and location. One thing we do not have the necessary ordnance for is Mugabe’s house. Even if we did, we would be still incapable of delivering it. Everything else is in order.”
As proof of their intentions, the group published personal details of one of Mugabe’s top bodyguards and listed his habits and movements, down to the cars he drives, his favourite drink and the women he hangs out with.
The 92 year-old despot vowed while in Japan this week never to give up power despite his advanced age and failing health. Mugabe was filmed dozing next to the Japanese prime minister.
“If someone puts a bullet in Mugabes head, it would be totally justified and not a crime at all. That person would be a hero whom the people of Zimbabwe should forever be indebted to,” Zimbabeans for Prosperity said in one post. “Robert Mugabe is like Osama bin Laden or Adolf Hitler. Killing him saves lives and is the only way to stop him. Otherwise elections are a sure waste of time better spent squeezing out your waste in the toilet.”
The group has taken a more radical line than former prime minister and MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai, who is accused of accepting a state mansion in Highlands and a farm in Chegutu as bribes from Mugabe to keep Zimbabwe in subjection. Zimbabweans for Prosperity also opposes Joice Mujuru, who formed Zimbabwe People First party after being elbowed out of Zanu PF by Mugabe’s wife and presidential aspirant Grace Mugabe. The group also opposes Emmerson Mnangagwa, describing as a ‘gukurahundist’, a reference to his role as state security minister during the 1980s genocide in which government forces murdered 50 000 civilians.
“Filth like Mugabe is not human,” Zimbabweans for Prosperity says. “It feels nothing seeing the suffering it causes. Animals are better because they kill to eat and evil like Mugabe kills because it can. Mugabe is never going to retire because he knows for sure so many will hunt him down and kill him for what he has done. Before the courts even get to hear the charges against him, someone would have cut him to pieces and fed him to stray dogs in the streets. He hopes to stay safe in power, protected by our soldiers payed by our money. But we want to promise Mugabe that his body will never be buried in the sacred soils of Zimbabwe. We swear by Mbuya Nehanda, Mugabes body will sleep with the fish in the oceans. His children will not know where his body will rest, just like the Dzamara family. We swear and promise the worst disgrace and humiliation for Mugabe. Dogs will pity his end. Grace will lose even a worthless One Rand coin in her possession and she will die utterly humiliated. Promise.”
Zimbabweans for Prosperity then goes on to publish information about one Nhamo Mangove, identified as a top bodyguard for Mugabe. Below we publish their full post:
“He is one of Mugabes trusted security men. His name is Nhamo Mangove, a mark handed over to us by our Sahwira Baba Jukwa in 2013. He lives in a Suburb previously reserved for people of mixed race by the colonial regime. He is currently driving a green Toyota Prado registration plates AEA0859 . He drives around with a cooler box filled with his favorite drink Castle light. For some time we have followed him as he drove a Mercedes, Isuzu and the white truck he drives to his farm, where we had the pleasure of getting some of the pork meat produced there. He is a thin guy, always with a box cut from the nineties. Generally he is a good man though his love for the opposite sex is a bit excessive. We make public a little about this man because he is of not much value to us. But those who are, we keep what we have as Secured intelligence. The point being we know what we need to know on those we need to know. Silently and undetected we have conducted high risk intelligence gathering operations all over the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We know the composite materials used in Mugabe’s car. We know the thickness of its armor plating. For it we acquired 6 arrows that can overturn a Locomotive (musoro we chitima) and leave it a pile of smouldering scrap metal in seconds. We know the type of radar, civilian and military, in their possession, its range, effectiveness and location. One thing we do not have the necessary ordnance for is Mugabe’s house. Even if we did, we would be still incapable of delivering it. Everything else is in order. Only by blood will Mugabe go. He will never go away in peace, through elections or negotiations. He understands one thing and one thing only,” said Zimbabweans for Prosperity.
Zimbabwe has been subjected to elections since independence from Britain in 1980, which Mugabe has relentlessly rigged, according to opposition groups and international observers.
