Disgraced former Zimbabwe Football Association chief executive officer Henrietta Rushwaya has admitted involvement in the Swazigate match fixing scandal.
Rushwaya admitted communicating with the match-rigging syndicate and giving instructions to national team players directly and through former coach Ian Gorowa.
According to The Standard, Rushwaya had hundreds of emails and WhatsApp messages from the match fixers.
Investigators on Monday dismissed Rushwaya’s claims that she was working with a Fifa official to expose the scandal, saying she should have alerted Zifa at the time.
Reports claimed Rushwaya had pocketed more than $1 million from the racket, which allegedly involved notorious match fixer Wilson Raj Perumal.
