There is turmoil in South African president Jacob Zuma’s household amid claims that his wife Nompumelelo Ntuli poisoned him.
According to the Sunday Times, Ma-Ntuli, as she is known, had been chased away from Zuma’s Nkandla rural home and was now living in Durban with her three children.
Zuma family sources told the Times that Ma-Ntuli was frustrated after she was sidelined after allegedly being caught cheating the president with another man.
The ‘poison attack’ resulted in serious health complications for Zuma in 2014 and he had to go to Russia for treatment.
Zuma’s spokesman, Mac Maharaj dismissed the report as “total speculation and gossip”.
