United Family International Church leader Emmanuel Makandiwa performed voodoo blood rituals in order to get ‘miracle powers’ that bring fame and fabulous wealth, a news site has reported.
The Telescope News quoted Ghanaian preacher Lawrence Ajoba making the claims.
The site said Ajoba, whose Ghana-based church has branches in Europe and the USA, was making desperate efforts to meet president Robert Mugabe to give him evidence of Makandiwa and Spirit Embassy leader Uebert Angel’s alleged voodoo practices. Ajoba wanted Mugabe to arrest Angel and Makandiwa and ban their churches as they were fooling Christians with their ‘voodoo magic’.
“Ajoba alleges that Angel and Makandiwa have made blood sacrifices for fame and fortune and have directly received occultic powers from fetish priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam. The dreaded fetish priest is on record saying that he has helped over 1 700 pastors across the African continent with powers to prosper and grow their churches, including those from Zimbabwe,” said the Telescope, which promised more revelations.
Makandiwa and Angel run mega-churches in Zimbabwe, backed up by satellite broadcast channels. They both claim to be multi-millionaires.
