The state has opposed bail in the matter in which Hurungwe West MP Temba Mliswa is being charged with theft and illegal possession of eight AK 47 rifles.
Investigating officer assistant inspector Masimba Mputa said Mliswa was likely to interfere with a witness, who was a worker at his farm, if released.
Magistrate Ignatius Mugova said he would make a ruling on the bail application Wednesday.
Mliswa was arrested on Sunday at Springs farm, which he seized violently from Myles Walter Hall and also grabbed the eight rifles from his armoury.
Mliswa had challenged his dismissal as Zanu PF chairman for Mashonaland West province.
