Police raided firms allegedly linked to axed vice president Joice Mujuru on Monday and “retrieved vital documents”, according to state media.
“We are still in the process of searching the companies and we have found some of the evidence we need,” the Zimbabwean Herald reported Tuesday, quoting what it said were well-placed sources.
The sources also allegedly revealed that Mujuru would be arrested.
“We have not yet questioned her but we will definitely do so,” the source said.
Acting president and Mujuru rival, Emmerson Mnangagwa’s justice ministry issued the search warrants through a Harare magistrate.
