Zimbabwe remains one of the most corrupt societies in the world with bribery and embezzlement being rampant, according to the 2014 Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index.
Zimbabwe ranked 156 out of 175 countries sampled, a slight improvement over last year’s 163/176. However, the country scored a dismal 21 points out of 100, compared to 20/100 in 2012. The index is presented on a scale from zero (highly corrupt) to 100 (clean).
