Violent thugs hired by Zanu PF politburo member Saviour Kasukuwere have prevented vice president Joice Mujuru from submitting her papers for election into the party’s central committee.
Acting Mashonaland Central provincial chair Wonder Mashange confirmed that Mujuru’s papers had been rejected following violent disruptions by the youths at the Mayfair Lodge in Bindura.
“The people were saying they could no longer work with the vice president considering that she is linked to the activities destabilising the party,” Mashange said.
The violent thugs led by Kasukuwere’s brother Tongai stoned vehicles and manhandled labour minister Nicholas Goche, accusing him of working with Mujuru to plot a military coup.
