An opinion survey by the New York-based Williams and Associates has predicted Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will win 61 percent of Wednesday’s vote, a massive lead of 34 percent over main rival, President Robert Mugabe’s expected 27 percent.
The survey was conducted in March/April 2013 and sampled 800 people in 10 provinces.
The accompanying report said only hardcore backers of Mugabe would vote for him.
Tsvangirai, however, told a massive crowd of over 160 000 in Harare Monday that the election was tilted in Mugabe’s favour due to bungling at ZEC.
